Gloddfa Ganol (remember that one?) came up with this train as an answer to shuttling people from the car park area to the mine entrance along a short section of light railed track. The photo was taken in 1988.
Hi as this site is no longer updated I fear the worst, although as its still running theres some hope. Its an amazing remarkable resource , I have 1000s of photos of the stone structures in the quarries but only from 2009 on. I write and talk about them quite a bit and the photos here from the 80s would be great for comparisons showing decline especially as I'm preparing a paper for a conference in Austria later this year, assuming its accepted. Cheekily I shall use some (with full credit) unless told not to. I have not been able totrack you down.
